Beautiful clouds & sunset

I watched this cloud formation for hours while driving SW toward Tarpon Springs. At sunset, the clouds had magnificent colors.
We came home yesterday & didn't get to the Everglades. David has a pinched nerve in his back; hopefully, he can get acupuncture tomorrow!

We did have a beautiful camping spot at Hickory Point, Tarpon Springs. The campground was light & noise pollution friendly. They also kept as many native trees as possible.

Hominy Falls

Here at the future site of Hominy Falls RV Resort, I captured this PhotoSynth (Panorama). Be sure to look around (drag the mouse) and zoom.

We are working on a very small RV Resort here on our property at Hominy Falls.

Hominy Falls from the Old Hominy Mill site. Very low water.

Crooked River state park

Finally got to Crooked River state park.
94°f during the drive was not cool during the short 1.5 shakedown drive.
Half the campground is closed due to low visitors.
50 amp power running both air conditioners.
Bugs, bugs & more bugs.
Panorama from the back of the site. Dense woods behind for about 100' then more sites.

Crooked River

Big Spider! Lots of Spiders!
Dense spider web in the woods. At least 20 spiders in one web.

Birds of all sorts.

We kayaked in the Crooked River & made sure to make note of when the tide was coming in & when it was going out since they change about 4 feet.

A big storm rolled in the afternoon with heavy rainfall.
